Artist and lecturer, born in London, who after City of Bath Technical School studied art at Bristol Polytechnic, 1973. Had a solo show with Gilbert Parr Gallery in 1978, later venues including Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, 1986, The New Art Centre, 1992, Roche Court, Salisbury, 1993, and Atrium Gallery, Coopers and Lybrand, 1994. Burke’s figurative works from reclaimed metals featured in Gallery Artists 2000, at Stephen Lacey Gallery, 2000. Was elected to RWA in 1985, which holds his work. Lived at Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire.
