Painter and teacher, who gained art and teaching diplomas at Manchester School of Art, becoming art master at Stretford Grammar School. Stationed in Germany in World War II he attended a painting course at Gottingen University. Showed with MAFA; his Peak Farm, of 1958, bought from its Centenary Exhibition, 1959, was painted in Derbyshire, a favourite subject. Lived in Hale Barns, Cheshire.
