Painter and decorative artist, born and lived in London, married to the architect Lord William Holford, who died in 1975; she was sometimes known as Marjorie Holford. Studied at Central School of Arts and Crafts and Royal Academy Schools, winning its Gold Medal and Edward Stott Travelling Studentship, 1927, and bronze medals for design, decoration and figure painting. Showed at RA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool (where she designed costumes for the Liverpool Playhouse) and elsewhere. Worked for the British Council. She bequeathed her picture Tea On the Lawn to Brighton Museum and Art Gallery in 1980.
