Painter and teacher, born in Sydenham, southeast London. He attended Clapham School of Art, 1935–9, teachers including Roland Pitchforth, then Royal College of Art, 1946–9, under Ruskin Spear and Rodrigo Moynihan. Went on to become head of fine art school at Ravensbourne College of Art & Design. Was a member of RBA and showed at RA, LG and SEA. Hertfordshire Education Committee bought his work. Lived in Bromley, Kent.
