Sculptor, born in Czechoslovakia, a survivor of Auschwitz concentration camp. She trained at Hornsey School of Art, 1955–60, and worked in Milan, Rome and Jerusalem, eventually being based in London. Showed extensively in Britain and abroad, including SPS from 1962; Woodstock Gallery, 1972; Magdalene Street Gallery, 1976; Embankment Gallery, 1980; Norwich Cathedral, 1987; RWA, 1989; and Chelmsford Cathedral Festival, 1991. Was a fellow of RBS. Several dozen works by her were permanently sited in public places, including North London Collegiate School, 1972; Bournemouth Synagogue, 1975; Bristol Cathedral, 1980; St Botolph’s Church, Aldgate, 1985; Walsingham Parish Church, 1988; and Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, 1990. An exhibition of domestic-scale work by Blake, held at the New Academy, 2002, included typically stylised, smooth, bronze figurative pieces and some abstracts.
