Painter, printmaker, textile designer and teacher, born in Appleby Magna, Leicestershire. He studied at Loughborough College of Art, 1960–4, his teachers including Edward Sharp; Brighton College of Art, 1965, under Ronald Horton; then in 1978–9 at Manchester Polytechnic for his master’s degree. Went on to become a freelance designer; to operate The Gallery at his home in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire; and to teach at Bedford College of Higher Education. Showed in Britain and abroad.
