Artist, born in Leicester, who completed foundation studies at Loughborough College of Art, 1991–2; an illustration honours degree first-class at University of Westminster, 1993–6; and a postgraduate diploma at St Martin’s School of Art, 1996–8. He won the BP Travel Award, 1997; was a commended finalist in the BP Portrait Award and gained an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award, both 1999; and won The Villiers David Prize and a prize in The Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, both 2002. Mixed shows included The Hunting Art Prizes, 1995; Map, Rebecca Hossack Gallery, 1999; and RBA, NEAC and The Discerning Eye, all at Mall Galleries, 2001; and RP, Mall Galleries, 2002. Solo exhibitions included Indi-gestion, Rebecca Hossack, 2001, and The Big Payback there, 2003, which resulted from his travels in Papua New Guinea.
