Sculptor, printmaker, painter, illuminator and calligrapher, born in London, who studied at Regent Street Polytechnic, 1958–63, with Geoffrey Deeley and James Osborne, and manuscript illumination and calligraphy privately with Anthony Wood, 1962–4, during which she moved to Sussex, settling in Bexhill. Became a freelance artist from 1963, “tending to specialise in drawing animals and birds, also some landscape watercolours”. Was elected a craft member of Society of Scribes and Illuminators, 1964, a fellow of RE, 1978. Was also a member of Guild of Sussex Craftsmen and the Eastbourne Group. Showed at RA from 1966, at Victoria & Albert Museum from 1971 and had solo shows with Rye Art Gallery, 1971, John Gage Gallery, Eastbourne, 1975, and elsewhere.
