Artist working in various media, born in Wrexham, Denbighshire, known for her photographs of purpose-built environments and interiors. She blurred the line between fiction and reality, the hand-made and photographic. In 1999, she had a solo exhibition at Nylon, turning her attention to outdoors scenes, mixing watercolour and photographic images. Belton gained an honours degree in painting at Central St Martins College of Art & Design, 1991–4, and her master’s in fine art from the Royal College of Art, 1994–6. Took part in many group exhibitions in Britain and abroad, later ones including Hales Gallery and Gimpel Fils, 1999. British Council, British Airways, John Moores and the TI Group held the work of Belton, who lived and worked in London.
