Painter, notably of meticulous still lifes in oil, and teacher, born in Northampton. She studied at Manchester College of Art and Design, 1964–8, then Royal College of Art, 1968–71, winning the Anstruther Prize for Painting, 1970. She held a number of visiting lectureships, latterly including Crawford School of Art and Cork and Cardiff Colleges of Art. Commissions included a British Rail poster, 1982, and BBC’s Good Food magazine, 1991–2. Her own books included A Basket of Berries, 1992, and A Basket of Apples, 1993. Showed solo in Germany and Netherlands, with CCA Galleries from 1993 and with Chris Beetles Ltd, 2001.
