Painter and designer, born at Lindfield, Sussex. Studied art at Battersea Polytechnic School of Art, 1900–03, under William Thomas; Clapham School of Art, 1903–4; Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art, 1906, under George Gaskell; Birmingham School of Art, 1908; and West Bromwich School of Art, 1909, under J A Pearce. Andrews held a number of art teaching positions in the West Midlands and London areas, finishing with the South-West Essex Technical College School of Art, 1938–50. He exhibited RA, RBA, ROI, NS and RSMA. Lived at Woodford Green, Essex.
