Two figures are regarding a waterfall, which cascades down between trees and rocks. The artist has included them to give us the sense of scale. The feature was called 'Mr Bam's Waterfall' as Coplestone Warre Bampfylde designed the landscape garden at Hestercombe near Taunton. Bampfylde was an artist of imaginary landscapes, a friend of Henry Hoare and he helped design the waterfall below the lake at Stourhead.
