Both hides feature a weathered steel construction pierced with varying sized holes which allow views across the mudflats. The perforated panels create dappled shadows inspired by the markings on seals' coats. The main hide is intended for viewing seals in the creek and features a stone base which doubles as a seat and has a circular bench in the centre. The smaller hide adjacent to the car park is intended for viewing birds on the mud flats and does not contain seating. Both hides are wheelchair accessible.
