This is the design model for the statue erected by public subscription in January 2010. There are one or two changes from this to the full scale statue. Most notable is the final statue is bare-handed. The artist felt that this small change best showed the Bruce in the peace after battle. Bruce as the Nation Builder, holding the Declaration of Arbroath the culmination of his life’s work.
