An oak bench with armrests carved into a sheep's head and the image of a goat to signify the local hostelry, but which is also part of the coat of arms of Llwydiarth Hall. The Millennium Committee of Llanfihangel-yng-Ngwynfa decided to site commemorative benches in each of the three villages within the parish boundary. They used a fallen oak tree donated by a local farmer and asked local people for ideas for the designs. With the help of Powys County Council and the Countryside Commission for Wales, three artists were commissioned, and workshops were organised so that the three benches would be carved simultaneously. They were commissioned to mark the millennium.
