A pencil sketch of the Pillar Parlour, Little Castle, Bolsover, with woman seated to the left of the fireplace, reading. Inscribed to the lower left 'Nov 27th'. It is part of a set of 12 drawings, 10 showing interiors of the Little Castle at Bolsover, some of which depict inhabitants in nineteenth century costume. Two other drawings are by the same hand and may also show interiors at Bolsover. The drawings are datable to the residency of the Rev. Hamilton Gray and his wife.
