An animated scene showing a yacht entering Plymouth in a lively sea, towing her small boat from the stern. A number of figures can be seen on the deck of the yacht as the sails are lowered. A trumpeter on board is shown announcing the arrival of the ship. On the right passengers in an overladen small boat observe the yacht’s arrival keenly. Other shipping is shown heading towards the port and at anchor. The fanciful topography of the area demonstrates that the artist had never visited it and was working from a topographical engraving and also his imagination.
