More about

West Middlesex has a long history of valuing the benefits of art and over the years has built up a collection of artwork by international, national and local artists. The arts project had a significant injection of new artwork in 2003 when a new building replaced outmoded Victorian buildings. The state of the art facility for A&E, intensive care, operating theatres, clinical imaging, outpatient and new wards is designed to focus services around the patient in an environment that is conducive to high quality care. There is a significant investment in advanced applications of medical technology and art features strongly throughout the whole hospital. We are particularly proud of the involvement of local artists who have contributed some beautiful work including watercolours, prints, acrylics, mosaics, mobiles, iron work and tapestries.

Most paintings in the collection are hung in public areas, however the West Middlesex University Hospital is a busy working hospital and access to paintings may not always be possible.
