More about

The Dean Heritage Centre contains over 18,000 objects charting the history of the Forest of Dean from the Ice Age to the present day. A significant part of the collection focuses on the Forest of Dean’s coal mining industry and includes a number of paintings illustrating life as a miner in the Forest of Dean. Many of the paintings have been kindly donated by local people. The Dean Heritage Centre is an accredited museum and continues to collect, preserve and protect the Forest of Dean's rich heritage.
