The Welsh Parliament is the democratically elected body that represents the interests of Wales and its people, makes laws for Wales, and holds the Welsh Government to account. When the Senedd building first opened four artists were commissioned to provide sculptures to form part of the architecture of the building. More recently, Welsh artist Angharad Pearce Jones was commissioned to create two sculptures for the Senedd’s main public spaces. Senedd Cymru yw'r corff sy'n cael ei ethol yn ddemocrataidd i gynrychioli buddiannau Cymru a'i phobl, i ddeddfu ar gyfer Cymru ac i ddwyn Llywodraeth Cymru i gyfrif. Pan agorodd adeilad y Senedd am y tro cyntaf, comisiynwyd pedwar artist i greu cerfluniau fel rhan o bensaernïaeth yr adeilad. Yn fwy diweddar, comisiynwyd yr artist o Gymru Angharad Pearce Jones i greu dau gerflun ar gyfer prif fannau cyhoeddus y Senedd.
