About the collection
The museum is one of two Regimental museums which make up the York Army Museum, displaying paintings and artefacts of famous Yorkshire Regiments through the ages. Both the Military Museum of the Royal Dragoon Guards and the Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire are housed at 3A, Tower Street; the office building is a listed Georgian town house, whilst the Museum itself is within a former TA Centre's Drill Hall (still with armoury). The house has been in MoD hands for many years.
