The Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History
The art collections of the Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History have been assembled in the 19th and 20th centuries, and mostly include works dating from this period. They primarily (but not solely) relate to British Methodism, and reflect several different areas of the Church’s work, including education and missionary work. The collections include individual works by well-known artists, such as John Piper, Duncan Grant and Elisabeth Frink; as well as significant bodies of work by James Smetham and Evelyn Dunbar (who was a Christian Scientist).
