Following the addition of four new trustees earlier in 2024, it is a great pleasure to announce the appointment to the Art UK Board of two fantastic new Trustees – Avril Martindale and Lisa Wong.

Avril Martindale is an intellectual property lawyer.

Avril Martindale

For over 20 years she was a partner in global law firm Freshfields. There she specialised in Intellectual Property and data-driven transactions for multinational clients.

She is currently an independent director of the International Tennis Integrity Agency, and sits on the finance and commercial board of the Royal Horticultural Society.

Lisa Wong is Finance Director at Glyndebourne Productions.

Lisa Wong

Lisa read Mathematics at Cambridge University. She then spent 16 years in professional accountancy services based in London, specialising in the charity sector with a focus on visual and performing arts, before moving into a Finance Director role in the London contemporary arts space.

Since 2019 she has been Finance Director at Glyndebourne Productions, located in East Sussex – home of the internationally renowned Glyndebourne Opera Festival.
