Siân Swinton lives in South Uist, where she works as a reporter. She is also a working artist, and studies Fine Art at the University of the Highlands and Islands North, West and Hebrides. She is a member of the Uist Arts Association and the Taigh Chearsabhagh Print Workshop, and is the Secretary for the local Community Council. A keen sea swimmer and the owner of a sustainable floristry business in a past life, she is very aware of human impact and interaction with the natural world.
