Roger Courtney is the founder and first Director of Crescent Arts Centre Belfast. Following 17 years as Chief Executive of the Simon Community NI, working with people who are homeless, he has been working as a freelance facilitator with a wide range of non-profit organisations, particularly in strategic planning and governance. He was director of East Belfast Arts Festival, the Bounce! Festival for people who are Deaf or disabled, and, for two years, the C. S. Lewis Festival in East Belfast. He has written several plays on the theme of C. S. Lewis, including The Inklings, Skrewtape comes to Belfast and An evening with Mrs C. S. Lewis. He is currently working on a detailed biography of C. S. Lewis.
