Michael Bloch is the author or editor of some twenty works. He read law at St John's College, Cambridge and was called to the bar by the Inner Temple. During the 1980s he assisted Maître Suzanne Blum, the Paris lawyer of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and wrote six books about the couple. A friend of the writer and National Trust luminary James Lees-Milne, he edited five volumes of his diary and wrote his biography. His other subjects include Hitler's foreign minister Ribbentrop, the British politician Jeremy Thorpe, and F. M. Alexander, founder of the Alexander Technique. He lives in London.
