Dr Andy Mills is curator for Archaeology & World Cultures at the Hunterian, University of Glasgow. He cares for a collection of both excavated and historically collected art and material culture from every inhabited continent. He holds a PhD in World Art History from the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art at the University of East Anglia and specialises in the study of Polynesian sculpture and textile arts. He is an anthropologist of art and an ethnohistorian of traditional Polynesian culture. Before coming to the Hunterian, Andy worked for a number of other museums in the UK, including the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, the Horniman Museum in London and the Norfolk Museums Service.
