A metal cone representing an imaginary textile machine. The 12–sided base rises in two stages, separated by a bronze cog. It comprises aluminium panels decorated with images associated with Leigh’s industrial history and, above these, stainless steel panels depicting ruby league players. This is surmounted by a coil of woven steel cables, from which individual cables spin upwards, creating a narrow cone.
