A giant portrait of Sylvia Pankhurst, flanked with two other common images of the leading suffragette. One selling the Women’s Dreadnought newspaper. The other issuing a rallying cry atop a cart in the heart of old Bow. It represents Bow's place in history where the suffragettes would have campaigned and lived, and indeed Pankhurst lived for ten years in the house adjacent to the pub.
