A commemorative set of two oak park benches set either side of a Scottish granite block bench, with at one end a bronze statue of Bob the cat sitting atop a pile of books, and to his side an open volume. Bob wears a scarf around his neck. The granite bench is inscribed. The tribute is based on the memoirs of author James Bowen.

Bob was the feline companion of James, a recovering drug addict who for many years was a busker in the area. He wrote about his experiences in the 2012 book 'A Street Cat Named Bob', which was subsequently made into a successful film.

The work is situated on Islington Green, opposite the Waterstones bookshop where James wrote the book. Bob was sculpted by Mid Wales-based artist Tanya Russell.
