Winner of the 2021 Priseman Seabrook Prize for Painting, this 2015 work of art depicts a line of people standing outside a job centre and prefigures the twenty-first century growth in food banks, homelessness and widening social inequality. The title is cockney rhyming slang for ‘dole’ which is a term for government hardship relief payments.
