This memorial commemorates the son of Canon Francis Pelham, who was killed during the First World War. It depicts a buckle which became the family symbol when John II of France surrendered at the Battle of Poitiers in 1356 and relinquished his sword and buckle. The tablet was unveiled by the Archbishop of Canterbury on Friday 29th September 1916.
