A large-scale drawing with pale-brown ink wash. Gill's work often includes text within the drawings or on the reverse. Sometimes these are mottos or seem to be titles for the work. These ‘voices’ appearing in Gill's work help us to have the sense of her channeling her spirit guide or, in art-therapy terms, working instinctively.
‘Music & Venous’, ‘Luminous [?] Jupitan, Mercoine, [undecipherable words]’. This might be planetary names Jupiter, Venus, Mercury in a pseudo-Franco-language. The signature ‘Myrninerest’ is sometimes interpreted as ‘my inner rest’ – Gill described her spirit guide as the author of many of her works. There is often a cruciform beside this name.
