Clark's paintings evolve using washes 'dripped' over the surface, whilst she watches and waits for the interaction between the colours, paints, texture and medium upon which she is working, to reach the final image.
She works with canvas, textiles and paper, and by adding and taking away layers. By mixing colours on the surface, she creates textures of thick and thin paint using a palette knife, sponges and brushes.
