A three-dimensional relief, sculpted in the round, which stands on a circular drum and a circular plinth. It recounts the changing patterns of life and work in Wellpark and the centrality of brewing to the area, with a succession of scenes: brewery workers with beer barrels in the background; the Saracen Head Inn; a pastoral scene depicting the area as farmland, a scene of fighting (possibly a reference to the Duke Street jail); the meeting of two holy men (possibly Saint Mungo who lived close to the nearby Molendinar Burn); a depiction of heavy industry (perhaps commemorating the workers from the nearby Parkhead Forge).
