Griffiths Rhys Jones, better known as 'Caradog', was one of the most famous choir conductors of the nineteenth century. This is a maquette of his statue in Victoria Square, Aberdare. It was raised by public subscription to commemorate his Côr Mawr victories at the Crystal Palace, London in 1872 and 1873.
