The fountain rises from a base of Biddulph Moor stone and contains a rockery of Derbyshire spar topped by a pillar of Aberdeen granite. The pillar bears a small bowl of Sicilian marble from which the fountain jets. The fountain was rediscovered buried under soil and plants in Jubilee Park.
