This is a reduced scale limited edition multiple, published by Stamperia Berardinelli Arte, Italy, relating to a large original work produced by Tilson at his studio in Christian Malford, in the 1970s. His move to Wiltshire led to a shift in his artistic output away from pop-art to a focus on spirituality, including a focus on ancient religions and the elements. Drawing on his experience as a carpenter and cabinet maker in the mid-1940s, and the space and source of materials provided by his move to the countryside, Tilson began producing large scale wooden constructions, often based on mazes.
