This is an interesting contemporary depiction of the North Tyneside coast, complementing other nineteenth and early twentieth century views within the Collection. The viewpoint is looking south along the coast towards Tynemouth, showing the Grade I listed St George's Church at Cullercoats, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and the north and south piers at the mouth of the River Tyne.
