The miniature is possibly of Elizabeth Manners (nee Sidney) Countess of Rutland. She has a white painted face set off by a pure white costumes, which includes a diaphanous veil, opulent white starched lace headpiece and ruff with cutwork, and bodice with lace neckline and fur trim. The only colour comes from turquoise jewels sewn into the dress, and the gold mounts of the pearl earrings.
