This is a sitting portrait of Dr Paul Shepherd, Governor to the Company of Merchant Adventurers from 2009–2010.

He wears a dark blue suit and a Company tie. Over the suit is the Governor's red robes and he wears the Governors’ jewel of office around his neck.

Dr Shepherd is the son of Sir Peter Shepherd, CBE, who also served as Governor to the Company of Merchant Adventurers in 1984.
