A county war memorial comprising cross, steps, gates and flanking walls, with a tall central cross on a traceried octagonal base and a stepped octagonal pedestal with an inscribed tablet. On either side is a tapering flight of steps and at the head of the steps, there are two pairs of wrought-iron gates. Inset in the walls are square Portland stone tablets inscribed with the names of Nottinghamshire parishes and the number of dead.
