This mural, depicting a 16th century map of Plymouth, was / commissioned for the original Drake Circus Shopping Centre / on this site and formally unveiled by HRH Princess Anne / in November 1971. It has been carefully restored by the / original artist for the new Drake Circus Shopping centre, / developed by P&O Estates and opened by Tudor Evans, / Leader of Plymouth City Council, on 5th October 2006
