A bust of the bespectacled bearded Wallace, set atop a slim tall plinth with bronze relief panels to two aspects. One features a butterfly and birds, the other a more abstract relief with Malay Archipelago and Wallace's name inscribed. The work was unveiled by comedian Bill Bailey.
