Artist based in Sandwich, Kent, whose colourful, stylised pictures on paper used collage to build up a thick, textured surface. The landscape around her home in Sandwich, Kent, and her dog were subjects. Wicks studied at Canterbury College of Art & Design and Norwich School of Art. She won a number of prizes, including Arts Council and The Prince’s Trust. Exhibited at RA Summer Exhibition, Contemporary Art Society Market, CCA Galleries, Contemporary Art Fair, Glasgow, and Chelsea Art Fair, 1999. Wicks illustrated several books. Ashford Borough Council, Kent Libraries and Kent and Leicestershire County Councils held her work.
