He became a member of MAFA and the Manchester Group. His first solo show took place in 1949 at Margo Ingham’s Mid-Day Studios in Manchester, followed by ones at Leger Gallery in 1950 and Crane Gallery, Manchester, 1952. After that he had frequent solo shows throughout Europe. Also showed with RA. Colour was important in Weisbrod’s work, with a strong basis of powerful drawing. In 1970 Weisbrod married the Manchester painter José Christopherson and they moved to live at Vaud, Switzerland, where they ran the Atelier-Galerie Bois de Chêne.
