Artist, particularly noted for his landscapes in oil, 2nd Baron of Barlaston. He was educated at Bedales School and studied at Burslem School of Art, 1920–2, then Slade School of Fine Art, 1922–5, having in World War I served for five years in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and Royal Flying Corps and being wounded. He showed at NEAC from 1927 and RA from 1931, also at Colnaghi.
