Painter notable for small landscapes in a variety of media, and teacher, born near Carlton, near Nottingham, where he was based. He attended the Nottingham College of Art, 1962–7, Slade School of Fine Art, 1967–9, and Leicester Polytechnic school of educational studies, 1970–1. Then went on to hold a number of teaching jobs. Showed in mixed groups in the Midlands, and solo exhibitions included Nottingham Playhouse, 1978. In 1981–2 he was included in Fragments Against Ruin tour by Arts Council, which holds a series of his works.
