Painter, draughtsman and teacher, born in Windsor, Berkshire. She studied at Byam Shaw School of Painting, 1960–4, with Maurice de Sausmarez, Bernard Dunstan and his wife Diana Armfield, and Peter Garrard. Gained the David Murray Travelling Scholarship in 1964. Taught painting at Claygate School, Esher, 1965–6, then concentrated on her own work and commissions. She was a member of RP and NEAC and exhibited regularly at RA Summer Exhibitions from 1964 and at RBA. Had solo exhibitions at Haste Gallery, Ipswich, 1979 and 1982 and had first solo show at W H Patterson in 1989. Themes of work included lamplight, sunlit interiors, space and distance in interiors created by colour rather than perspective and portraits in settings. Van Dyck, Vuillard, Cézanne and Freud were cited as influences.
