Painter, carver in relief and teacher, born in Bridgwater, Somerset. He studied at the University of Newcastle – the department of fine art, King’s College – from 1955–61, then from 1962–4 was lecturer in painting there. In 1965 went to Chelsea School of Art to lecture in sculpture. Showed Young Contemporaries, LG, in Sculpture Today and Tomorrow at Bear Lane Gallery in Oxford, in Twenty-Six Sculptors at ICA and had several one-man shows at New Art Centre. Arts Council holds his Relief Construction, 1960, and Relief Painting, 1964, and Tate Gallery and Leeds City Art Gallery also hold his work.
